A New Wave of African Entrepreneurs

<p style&equals;"text-align&colon; justify&semi;">By 2050&comma; the African population is expected to more than double&period; About two-hundred million Africans are aged between 15 and 24&comma; which makes the continent the youngest one on earth&period; An encouraging finding is that African entrepreneurs are emerging trying to change the prospect of trade in their countries&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<h2 style&equals;"text-align&colon; justify&semi;"><b>Entrepreneurship initiatives<&sol;b><&sol;h2>&NewLine;<p style&equals;"text-align&colon; justify&semi;">Entrepreneurship is flourishing in Africa&comma; many incubators&comma; and businesses are being established&period; While the continent resources were often used for the benefit of other countries&comma; it’s high time for Africa to be self-sufficient&period; Young African people are taking part in this&comma; they are involved in entrepreneurial activities&period; In Uganda&comma; Zambia&comma; and Nigeria they are either involved in a business or running one&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p style&equals;"text-align&colon; justify&semi;">African organizations are making attempts to encourage youth business across the continent&period; for instance&comma; Business for Africa and the World are organizing conferences to gather African entrepreneurs&period; The &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Africa 2017 Forum” intended to present a platform for heads of state&comma; governments&comma; and private sector and business leaders in Africa and the world to talk about Africa’s most important economic collaborators&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p style&equals;"text-align&colon; justify&semi;">The reality TV show <i> Africa’s Young Entrepreneurs <&sol;i>is also an engaging initiative that aims at showcasing entrepreneurship among African youth and developing the market-leading businesses and networks in the continent&period; It organizes conferences&comma; workshops&comma; and meetings to allow young entrepreneurs to discuss and debate the hottest topics in field service&period; As we all know that technology is having more and more of a preponderant role due to its impact on operational efficiency&comma; this show will allow young African entrepreneurs to be updated with their market development&period; This TV reality show was named the largest entrepreneurship network on the global level in 2017&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<h2 style&equals;"text-align&colon; justify&semi;"><b>Young women entrepreneurs involvement <&sol;b><&sol;h2>&NewLine;<p style&equals;"text-align&colon; justify&semi;">The Sub Saharan Africa is not famously known for including women in the economic sector&period; However&comma; it is now shifting its policy to set an inclusive work environment&period; In Uganda for instance&comma; young women have an important role in increasing their country’s economy&period; They are actively involved in business even more than men&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p style&equals;"text-align&colon; justify&semi;">It’s worth mentioning that young women work in businesses in which an important employment growth is taking place&period; However&comma; young men are five times more likely to offer employment&period; The gender differential with respect to actual job creation is most noticeable in relation to high-growth businesses&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p style&equals;"text-align&colon; justify&semi;">Uganda is not the only African country where women work hard to boost their country’s economy&period; With a rate of 41&percnt;&comma; Nigeria&comma; for example&comma; surpassed the US and the UK in terms of the percentage of women entrepreneurs&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p style&equals;"text-align&colon; justify&semi;"><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;howwemadeitinafrica&period;com&sol;african-female-entrepreneurs-fighting-way-top&sol;57188&sol;">Yasmin Belo-Osagie<&sol;a>&comma; co-founder of the organization She Leads Africa&comma; asserted that by saying &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Sub-Saharan Africa has the highest rate of female entrepreneurship across the globe&comma; with more women starting businesses in Africa than anywhere else in the world&period;”<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p style&equals;"text-align&colon; justify&semi;">African women entrepreneurs are leading micro-businesses in their countries&period; In Zambia&comma; a <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;afrika-news&period;com&sol;women-entrepreneurs-lead-africa&sol;">USAID &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;WECREATE<&sol;a>” a mentoring program provides an opportunity for 28 Zambian women to shape their businesses operations in farming&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Source&colon; www&period;afrika-news&period;com<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p style&equals;"text-align&colon; right&semi;">Photo Credit&colon; Tony Elumelu Foundation<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
