&NewLine;<p>On 2<sup>nd<&sol;sup>&nbsp&semi;November&comma; 202&comma;&nbsp&semi;Ing&period; Ohene-Akoto&nbsp&semi;received nominationsfor the innovation project of the year and the&nbsp&semi;digitalisationproject of the year at the&nbsp&semi;Ghana Energy&nbsp&semi;Awards 2021&period; The awards gala&nbsp&semi;will&nbsp&semi;take place on 19<sup>th<&sol;sup>&nbsp&semi;November&comma; 2021 at the&nbsp&semi;Labadi&nbsp&semi;Beach Hotel&nbsp&semi;under the theme&comma; &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Digitalised&nbsp&semi;Energy Sector&colon; The Key for a Resilient Economic Future&period;”<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Last year 2020&comma;&nbsp&semi;Ing&period; Ohene-Akoto was crowned Rising Star at the 4<sup>th<&sol;sup>&nbsp&semi;edition of the Ghana Energy Awards held at the&nbsp&semi;Movenpick&nbsp&semi;Ambassador Hotel&comma; Accra&period;&nbsp&semi;Before then&comma;&nbsp&semi;he had received a number awards which includes the Forty Under 40 Award at the&nbsp&semi;Kempinski&nbsp&semi;Hotel&comma; Accra&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Earlier&nbsp&semi;this&nbsp&semi;year&comma;&nbsp&semi;Ing&period; Ohene-Akoto&nbsp&semi;had&nbsp&semi;received several&nbsp&semi;global&nbsp&semi;recognitions which included&nbsp&semi;Best Student Paper Award&nbsp&semi;of th<a><&sol;a>e 2021 International Conference of Electrical and Electronics Engineering&nbsp&semi;at the World Congress on Engineering 2021 held in London&comma; United Kingdom&period; In May&comma; 2021&comma; he was appointed a Future Energy Leader &lpar;FEL-100&rpar; at the World Energy Council&period;At the World Energy Council&comma; he will be working with colleague energy professionals across the globe to find sustainable solutions to issues of climate change and energy challenges facing the modern society&comma; with the overarching and interdependent objectives of humanizing energy and achieving net-zero emissions by 2050&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>As an industry player&nbsp&semi;and a researcher&comma; he helps bridge the gap between these sectors&period;&nbsp&semi;Ing&period; Ohene-Akoto owns an innovation patent in electric vehicles and corona virus transmission prevention system with the Australian and German Governments respectively&period; He has served as member of Technical Committee and Reviewer for a number of IEEE international conferences in Peru&comma; India&comma; etc&period; He has several publications in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences&period; His publications span&nbsp&semi;within the areas of wind energy&comma; electrical transformers&comma; cost of unserved energy&comma; solar energy&comma; briquettes&comma; e-mobility&comma; etc&period;&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>The Ghana Energy Awards aims to&nbsp&semi;recognise&nbsp&semi;the efforts&comma; innovation and excellent stalwarts within the energy sector and celebrate the tremendous work of players nominated under various categories of the award&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
