Fitness coach and wellness advocate Comfort Apokum, popularly known as Fit_Apk, is inspiring Ghanaians to view fitness as more than physical exercise, promoting healthier lifestyles built around consistency, discipline and self-belief.

A licensed facilitator and certified personal trainer, Comfort has established herself as a rising figure in Ghana’s health and wellness industry through her practical approach to fitness coaching and her commitment to helping individuals achieve sustainable results.

Her journey into professional fitness was shaped by her passion for teaching and her belief that wellness can transform lives. After earning a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood from St. Louis College of Education between 2018 and 2022, she pursued further training at Winneba Sports College.

In 2023, Comfort earned her certification from the National Sports Fitness and Aerobics Association of Ghana (NASFAAG), strengthening her credentials as a professional fitness coach.

Today, she designs and leads group fitness sessions for up to 15 participants, developing programmes that combine exercise, motivation and practical wellness strategies.

Her areas of expertise include nutrition and weight-loss management, personal training, aerobics, strength and conditioning, muscle building and toning, mobility and flexibility training, corporate wellness and online coaching.

Comfort’s experience also includes serving as a Personal Trainer and Instructor (PTI) during the 13th African Games in 2023. In 2024, she led SSNIT health activities, helping corporate teams embrace healthier lifestyles.

For Comfort, however, fitness is not simply about changing how people look. Her coaching philosophy centres on helping people develop the confidence and discipline needed to make healthier choices and maintain them over time.

Through her Fit_Apk platform, she continues to engage with a growing community, encouraging people to remain committed to their wellness journeys regardless of their starting point.

Her message, “Too Fit to Quit,” captures the philosophy behind her work, that sustainable fitness requires persistence, consistency and a willingness to keep going.

As interest in health and wellness continues to grow, Comfort Apokum is using her experience in education and fitness to encourage Ghanaians to make wellness a meaningful part of their everyday lives.
