Auguster Boateng is a professionally trained journalist, gender advocate and emerging voice in diplomacy, with a professional background in International Relations and Diplomacy.
Her work focuses on policy, storytelling and women’s leadership. With more than 15 years of experience across journalism, communications and gender advocacy, she has become increasingly interested in the relationship between the stories societies tell, the policies institutions make, and the women who shape both.
That interest is now taking form through an interconnected body of work. Through Global Gender Solutions, she is building a platform for gender policy, research and strategic advisory for gender-responsive outcomes; through She. Media, she is creating space for women’s stories and experiences to be told with depth and context as evidence for policy change; and through The Women’s Ledger, she is building a living record of African women whose leadership and institutional contributions deserve to be remembered. Each serves a different purpose, but together they reflect one larger ambition: to influence policy, shape narratives and ensure women are part of Africa’s transformational memory.
As she builds a career in diplomacy, she is bringing these strands of experience with her. From understanding institutions and policy, to telling stories and preserving history. Her work is ultimately driven by a simple belief: women should not only be present in the rooms where decisions are made; their ideas, leadership and contributions should also be recognised, documented and carried forward.
