I refused to let failure stop my entrepreneurial journey – Dorothy Adwoa Yeboah Adjei

&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">Dorothy Adwoa Yeboah Adjei&comma; popularly known as DAYA&comma; has shared how resilience&comma; self-growth and a willingness to learn from setbacks have shaped her journey as a public servant and entrepreneur&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">Yeboah Adjei&comma; who works with the Gaming Commission of Ghana&comma; is also the CEO of Daya Ushering and Daya Fabrics&period; She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Ghana and a master’s degree in Management and Administration from the University of Ghana Business School&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">According to her&comma; her entrepreneurial spirit was influenced largely by her childhood&comma; particularly watching her mother engage in different businesses while growing up&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">She said she began selling various products while in school&comma; from primary school through university&comma; and later developed an interest in combining her corporate career with entrepreneurship&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">After completing her National Service at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs&comma; she joined the Gaming Commission of Ghana in 2016&period; She later returned to her entrepreneurial ambitions&comma; establishing Daya Ushering in 2018&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">Yeboah Adjei said Daya Ushering was established not only as a business but also with the aim of supporting needy students with basic needs&comma; drawing inspiration from some of the challenges she experienced while in school&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">In 2019&comma; she ventured into the fabric business by establishing Fabric Palace as an online business&period; The venture later expanded into a physical shop in 2021 and was rebranded as Daya Fabrics&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">Reflecting on challenges in her entrepreneurial journey&comma; Yeboah Adjei recounted an experience where trusting a business partner despite seeing warning signs resulted in financial losses&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">She said the experience taught her the importance of taking responsibility and being actively involved in her business&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Failures in our ways aren’t meant to stop us&period; They are designed to point the way to the new route&comma; new possibilities and new doorways&comma;” she said&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">Yeboah Adjei identified self-growth and inspiring others as key motivations in her life&comma; stressing the importance of moving beyond one&&num;8217&semi;s comfort zone&comma; learning new skills and continuously becoming a better version of oneself&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">She also described the wholesale aspect of Daya Fabrics as one of her greatest accomplishments&comma; particularly because it has enabled her to help other young women establish their own businesses&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">Daya Ushering provides ushering and protocol services for corporate events&comma; weddings&comma; parties&comma; conferences&comma; seminars&comma; product activations and commercials&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">Daya Fabrics&comma; meanwhile&comma; offers wholesale and retail fabrics&comma; including bridal laces&comma; haute couture fabrics&comma; bridesmaids’ laces and brocades&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">The entrepreneur encouraged young people to challenge themselves and pursue opportunities beyond their comfort zones&comma; noting that entrepreneurship plays an important role in job creation and economic growth&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">She urged aspiring and existing entrepreneurs to remain committed and intentional about their journeys&comma; while learning from setbacks instead of allowing them to become barriers to progress&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
