<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Kwaku Opoku Osafo-Ampomah, President and CEO of Groupe Evonet, has built a diversified business portfolio by turning challenges in Ghana’s construction and housing sectors into opportunities for innovation and job creation.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">His businesses span construction, real estate, paint manufacturing, marketing, logistics and other sectors, reflecting an entrepreneurial journey driven by a desire to address practical problems in society.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Osafo-Ampomah’s experience in construction and real estate exposed him to several challenges within Ghana’s building industry, including the deterioration of wall paints.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This experience inspired the development of locally manufactured BCK Graffiato Paint and BCK Acrylic Paint as solutions aimed at meeting the needs of the local market.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">According to Osafo-Ampomah, his entrepreneurial motivation goes beyond building profitable businesses. He wants to contribute to addressing housing and infrastructure challenges while creating employment opportunities for young people.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">He started his journey with smaller construction projects before gradually expanding into real estate and subsequently moving into other business areas.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Overcoming credibility challenges</h3>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Building credibility was one of the major challenges Osafo-Ampomah encountered as he expanded his businesses, particularly in sectors where established companies already had a strong presence.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">He responded by focusing on developing a capable team, delivering on promises and seeking guidance from experienced professionals through mentorship.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The development and introduction of BCK Graffiato Paint also presented a different challenge. The Ghanaian market was initially hesitant to embrace a locally manufactured paint product.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Osafo-Ampomah eventually recognised that producing a quality product alone was not sufficient to win customers.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">He therefore placed greater emphasis on marketing and customer education to help consumers understand the value and quality of locally manufactured paint.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Values guiding Groupe Evonet</h3>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Osafo-Ampomah says integrity, discipline, loyalty, consistency and compassion remain central to the way he operates his businesses.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">He believes these values are important not only for achieving business growth but also for building lasting relationships with customers, employees, partners and other stakeholders.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">His experience has also shaped his advice to young entrepreneurs seeking to establish themselves in competitive industries.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Rather than simply following popular business trends, he encourages young people to identify genuine problems within their communities and develop practical solutions.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For Osafo-Ampomah, entrepreneurship should be about creating value while responding to real needs.</p>
