This maiden report covers everything about Taxes for Startups and Small and Medium Enterprises. It is interesting to reveal to you that, according to our research, about 91% of startups and small businesses in Ghana have not registered their businesses as taxpayers at the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).
Whiles this remains bizarre for a country like Ghana whose economy is strongly backed by taxes, PSAL hope this report helps feed SMEs the right information and direction since most of them according to our research had little or no idea about their tax obligations. PSAL also anticipate that this report encourages the GRA to continually review and communicate various tax policies favorable to startups and small businesses in Ghana to encourage them to honor their tax obligations.
