Louisa Afriyie Boateng, Business Operations Manager at Earlbeam Realty, has called on young women in Ghana’s real estate and construction sectors to collaborate and support one another as they navigate challenges in the industry.
Boateng believes stronger collaboration among women can help create opportunities, build professional networks and provide the support needed for young professionals to establish themselves in the sector.
Speaking about the real estate industry, she described Accra’s property market as buoyant, noting that several developments are emerging to meet growing demand for residential, commercial and recreational spaces.
According to Boateng, personal values and mindset are also critical for young women seeking to build successful careers in real estate and construction.
She said training and empowerment programmes targeting young women should first seek to understand their individual goals, objectives and motivations.
For Boateng, helping beneficiaries discover their purpose can give them greater clarity about the direction they want to take in their professional and entrepreneurial journeys.
She explained that her role is to help bridge identified gaps while ensuring that beneficiaries remain responsible for their own growth and success.
Beyond Ghana, Boateng expressed interest in exploring opportunities in other African markets, particularly South Africa, Kenya and Nigeria.
She said her transition from London to Kumasi and later Accra exposed her to different aspects of Ghanaian society and helped broaden her perspective.
Boateng described her experience in Ghana as an ongoing journey of discovering purpose, personal growth and new opportunities.
Her comments highlight the importance of mentorship, collaboration and purpose-driven development as more young women seek opportunities in Ghana’s growing property and construction industries.
