Founder of 30 Seeds and financial influencer Priscilla Atta-Peters has urged young Africans to take greater control of their finances through financial education, disciplined investment and technology.
According to her, understanding how money works, having access to appropriate financial tools and developing financial discipline are key to building sustainable wealth.
Speaking to My Story Magazine, Priscilla said her interest in financial education began during childhood when she became curious about how money was managed in her household.
“I wanted to understand money, own it, and make decisions about it myself,” she said.
She said the curiosity later developed into an interest in saving, budgeting, investing and understanding financial systems, particularly within the African context.

Priscilla also encouraged young people looking to invest in 2026 to consider options such as savings and money market funds, Treasury bills and government bonds, mobile money investment products, stocks and small businesses.
She cautioned first-time investors against chasing investment trends, putting all their money into one opportunity, investing without adequate knowledge and ignoring fees and personal risk tolerance.
On the role of technology, she said digital platforms, mobile money and investment applications are helping to make investment opportunities more accessible to ordinary Africans.
She noted that technology can enable people to participate in sectors such as tourism and real estate with smaller amounts of capital while helping businesses raise funds and manage their finances.
Priscilla further advised young entrepreneurs to separate personal and business finances, track expenses, manage cash flow and avoid unnecessary debt.
She also called for stronger financial literacy, improved access to capital, effective regulation and greater transparency to help Ghana build a stronger investment-driven economy.
“When people are given the right tools and information, they don’t just manage money better, they make better life decisions.”
