With a background in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Cape Coast, Amponsah has built a career around helping individuals and communities make informed decisions about their health and nutrition.
As the Lead Dietician at Prevenza and Chief Executive Officer of Healthify Diet Consult, she develops tailored dietary programmes for people managing conditions including diabetes, hypertension and obesity.
Her work also places strong emphasis on preventive health, with a particular focus on maternal and child nutrition. Through her advocacy, she continues to raise awareness about the importance of proper nutrition during pregnancy, childhood development and family life.
“Nutrition is about empowering healthier communities,” Gifty Amponsah said, reflecting her commitment to making nutrition knowledge accessible and practical.
Beyond her professional work, Amponsah has ventured into entrepreneurship with Brown Mélange, a health-focused tombrown product developed with wellness considerations in mind. She also leads Gigi’s Glamour, a fashion and beauty brand that promotes confidence, creativity and self-expression among young women.
Her contributions to health, business and community development have earned her several recognitions. She was crowned Miss Adehye UCC 2019 and later represented the Western Region at Ghana’s Most Beautiful 2024, using the platform to highlight issues close to her heart.
In 2025, her achievements received further recognition at the Golden Age Business and Creative Arts Awards, where she received three honours: Discovery Health Personality of the Year, Discovery Woman of the Year and Youth Personality of the Year.
Amponsah has also taken her advocacy directly to young people through initiatives such as the Senior High School Campus Invasion Project. The initiative combined student engagement, educational stationery donations and motivational sessions aimed at inspiring students.
Another of her initiatives, Ignite Your Wellness, engaged students of UNIMAC-GIJ on fitness and healthy eating, reinforcing her belief that health education should begin early.
Her influence extends beyond nutrition and community advocacy. Amponsah has also been recognised for her fashion sense, receiving the title of Overall Best Dressed Female Student at the Choice Style Awards’ Mega 5 Celebration. She has additionally served as a Brand Ambassador for Koda Herbal Tea.
Through her growing influence across nutrition, entrepreneurship, lifestyle and youth development, Gifty Amponsah continues to position herself as a strong voice for healthier living in Ghana.
