THE NSAWAM PRISON PROJECT
On the 21st of July 2018 (last week Saturday), The Godly Woman Foundation made its way to the Nsawam Female Prisons as part of their charitable projects. The team decided to visit the female section of the prison to donate items such as ; pads, food stuffs , toiletries , used clothing, bags of water and many more .
Speaking to the leader of the foundation , Miss Jennifer Akyeampong, she briefed us on how many of these women(prisoners) by no fault of their own found themselves in this unfortunate circumstances. This project was inspired by the Bible instructions in Hebrews 13:3 . It was a time to encourage the prisoners to be joyous and keep believing in God to vindicate them.
The founder of the foundation was also surprised to see many old women accused of crime. she would like to use this opportunity to appeal to the President to set such people free through a presidential pardon.
The Godly Woman Foundation targets women and children to groom, nurture , empower and encourage them to breakforth in society through the provision of their basic necessities.
Finally , the team also urged the general public to make constant donations to the prisons.
They also want to send their sincere gratitude to every individual who contributed to making the project a success.
