A Profile on Miss Jacinta Stevens ( model, brand influencer, social entrepreneur)
As a young girl Miss Jacinta Stevens had always been the curious one, her tender age did not stop her from being quite an observant person. Growing up, she used to take many trips with her father and during such trips she would always notice her dad never let an opportunity to help the poor and needy pass him by. He often told her it is important to always help people especially those who had no way of paying them back. Moments like these kept happening and she begun taking all of her dad’s saying to heart.
Miss Stevens had the privilege of witnessing at first-hand, what philanthropy looked like. This encouraged her to be intentional about her willingness to help the poor and the needy. She would often find herself taking more than she needed, in terms of money, food and water anytime she was heading out to town, this was with the goal of making sure she could at least help one person in need.
Miss Steven’s father was fortunate enough to own an International school, his philanthropic nature saw him hand out over more than half free scholarships to students. This decision baffled her a bit, she enquired from him, asking how he would be able to acquire profits from his school if he always gave out a lot of free scholarships.
He watched her and told her “The legacies we leave on earth are what we are remembered for”. Her father always saw it prudent to invest in people especially children. He knew that without equal opportunities to better themselves these kids were likely to go wayward. He knew that when these children grew up with education, they would turn into respectable members of the society who knew how to give back to the society that watched over them.
Coincidentally, Miss Stevens’ spiritual father is also an avid giver who has given hundreds of people scholarships to further their education . Ever since she started serving her spiritual father, her zeal to do more for humanity has been heightened.
All these experiences kept fuelling up a desire in Miss Stevens to also give back, and have philanthropic heart of her own. This led into her wanting to have her own foundation that would give her the platform to provide aid to people on the streets, children without parents and people in need generally.
This goal of hers led her towards meeting people with the same goal of helping those in need. As if she had needed more motivation. With the fire burning inside her she started her first Non-Governmental foundation called Jacinta Stevens Foundation with the goal “feeding the streets”. She went with her team to donate foods, drinks and many more to people in need. Last two years she had a collaboration with The Butterfly Effect and The Grace Foundation to provide donations to orphanage homes.
Miss Stevens has an upcoming event called Project 360 on the 30th of November 2019 at Nsawam Prisons at 12:00PM where her foundation will be donating toiletries, detergents, drinks, water, disinfectants, sanitary pads and many more to the inmates.
The ultimate goal for the Jacinta Stevens Foundation is to provide at least 10 scholarship to students in every region and to build a sizeable orphanage home that would look to take children out of the streets into a more stable environment, for the homeless to feel loved and cared for and also for the less privilege people. It is the goal of her foundation to have an inclusive environment where everyone feels love and needed.
Miss Stevens has a heart of gold that has been passed to her by her father, to quote a well-known Philanthropist Miss Oprah Winfrey “Helping others is the way we help ourselves”.
Miss Stevens aims to take the path of prominent people like her father Hon Siaka Stevens and her spiritual father Prophet Bernard ElBernard with an aspiration of impacting lives of the lives of people.
